Hi Sam

Anxiety alone can make you feel this way , even though I no it can be hard to believe at times

I might sound like a broken record in a bit , but again , maybe seeing the GP & telling them how you feel , just to check , its not your meds , or you could have a low iron count which they could check , blood pressure , none of which are serious , & can be treat if you did have any of those things wrong , but no doubt they would all be fine & then you would have peace of mind , even though its not nice , but to no this anxiety was the cause & nothing else

Hi Sam,

I'm just the same. I had 'flu at New Year and it really does feel like the symptoms have never completely cleared up. I feel better for a few days and then the dizziness and headaches come back. My health anxiety is off the scale but I think I'll have to try and be brave and go back to the doctor. Probably you should do the same. In my experience it will be anxiety but perhaps it is best to be sure :)

Hope you feel better soon,

Love

Hi Sam, I've suffered from anxiety for years but won't give in to it, in particular feeling dizzy, palpitations, tired, jittery etc. I have been diagnosed with anaemia and I have a problem with my neck so get occasional vertigo. I have convinced myself that I have heart problems and have had an ECG etc which was fine. I had flu at Christmas last year and haven't felt well since. I think low iron levels can cause a lot of anxiety symptoms. Hope that's helpful?

Hi Sam

By any chance are you on medication as these can be side effects of meds?

also as said these are common side effects of anxiety, but I'm going to try and explain why these symptoms happen and hopefully it will give you peice of mind :)

The tiredness strings from bad nerves, basically when we have anxiety your nerves vibrate a lot more than they would when you was healthy, which causes your body to feel tired, also the constant battle with yourself and trying to keep anxiety away causes you to feel drained.

The sick feeling goes hand in hand with the dizzy spells, you feel dizzy due to adrenaline rushing around the body and having no escape.

hope this helps

oh yes, anxiety can cause, nausea, dizziness, headaches, tiredness, blurred vision, depression, tingling in arms and legs, and of course panic attacks.the list goes on..I would get a full blood test done,to rule out thyroid, or iron ,or vitamin b12,deficienty,as any of these can cause your symptoms,if alls clear, then its anxiety, hope your feeling better soon...love Miarose.xxx

I know this is an old thread, but I literally put my symptoms of extreme tiredness, dizziness and feeling sick in to google and this came up. I have suffered from anxiety for many years but only pin pointed it a few years ago. I take beta blockers when I having a particularly bad day, which isn't that often but when it's bad, it's bad and last for days. I actually never relate feeling like this to the anxiety tbh. I'm at uni and it's really effecting my work .... I am new on this site today, any advice would be hugely appreciated. Thanks :)

Hi Funkylox

Welcome to the site :-)

Oh I try not to Google along with others that suffer with anxiety as the answer you got was quite good but sometimes Google or as we say Dr Google can tell us the worse case scenario making are anxiety worse !

I just was looking at the news feed & by chance saw your reply but it could get missed by members as when people log on & reply or post the news feed moves on

Would be lovely when you feel ready if you did a post so members could meet you , we all understand on here how anxiety affects us & you would get lots of good advise & support :-)

Anxiety can make you feel this way. It does to me as well. I'm in my 50s and I learned a few things that help me. First of all I'm ADHD as well. I learned to take care of that socially by keeping my mouth shut. But, my thoughts are going on inside 100 miles an hour. Try to eat better and little to no caffeine or nicotine. Make yourself get up and take a daily brisk walk for 30 minutes. Create structure and order in your life. Be careful to not be too ridged in your daily life or that will cause anxiety as well. You must always have hope or you will get depressed. Finally set goals in your life. Start off with small ones. Use a daily planner and keep to it. Then move up to bigger ones. If you have someone in your life, communicate this with him/her. That person if onboard will help with goals and you'll be developing leadership skills as well. Because if you can explain what's inside and get/manage help; you can lead just about anything. I believe stress and anxiety are different and one can help the other.

Best wishes!
