ive suffered almost crippling anxiety/depression at uni & have gotten a few D grades. Ive now applied for NHS job & got interview (i gave my higher grade results in application) but they want to see my degree modules - they are bad. And i feel horrific. So anxious and ashamed of myself.
Has anyone had constant anxiety/depression... - Anxiety Support
Has anyone had constant anxiety/depression during university which ultimately given poor academic exam results? Thats where im at now.
Hello Yes ...university was horrible ....the subjects where not discussed properly by th politically correct lecturers. It would drive anyone to despair.
I take it you have not graduated yet ? If you have , then why do they wnat to see the module results ? A degree is a degree .
You should take comfort knowing university is a mad place ....I'm doing a Masters this year !!!! But learned not to take it too seriously
Good luck
Hi thanks for replying! I haven't graduated yet, I do that start of next month (which will be a whole battle of its own). So I dont have access to any results other than the ones I saved from last year.
Those shown a few fails and only passed on repeated attempts - I have no idea how to explain it without breaking down in the interview!
Hiya
First thing to remember is don't take university too seriously. And by 'breaking down' you are doing just that . Smile ....and consider just how many people drop out altogether becuase it is a crazy environment.
I am sitting a Masters and what I learned is University is a crazy place . Once you begin to lighten up and not take the subjects too seriously it can help loads.
Incidentally, you could say to the interviewers you had huge family problems ...I wouldn't mention menatl health . Just say your family or whatever where under pressure .....
Good luck and do try to lighten up ...
Hello. I'm new to this, but I'm in the same boat, just finished my degree and am too graduating next month. Keep your chin up, I too have had some terrible results, but look on the bright side - we made it through uni and will get a degree!
