often, especially when my b12 is low

or high as I have to supplement or my minerals particularly are low. My hormones don't help either. Menopause on top of Hashimotos, and malabsorbtion plays hell with your nerves:(. Anxiety depletes nutrients by the way. Hope u feel better soon. Lack of sleep messes u up doesn't it? I feel much worse when I go nocturnal.

I do.I can easily nod off in my chair and then when I go to bed I am wide awake!! So, I have a read and try deep breathing to relax. i do eventually fall asleep but ssometimes it takes ages and then I don't sleep all night. It's very frustrating and hard on the anxiety problem. Oh for a good nights sleep.

Hi Mouley I have been like this for months - wake up at two am after an hour if sleep, but feeling as if it is morning. Then at three pm am ready for bed but sadly have to work or even drive. Not good! Interesting about hormones, winder if that is affecting me. And thanks for top tips about mineral etc supplements, I have let this slip lately and must get back on top. Months of pounding heart, day, night, sleeping even, must be wearing me down!

Thanks for the comments all, it helps me!

I have 30mg Mirtazapine at night for my anxiety and it sends me off to sleep straight away until the morning. Its rotten if you lay awake at night and the mind churns. Thinking of you cotonroad . cotonroad

Hi mouley

Last year my anxiety was through the roof and i was so ill with panics I couldn't sleep day or night. It's miserable suffering anxiety/depression and lack of sleep makes it so much harder to cope with. I was signed off work and switched from citalopram to mirtazapine. I take 45mg of mirt. at 8pm and I'm fast asleep by 10pm and that's me done(unless the kids wake me up) until 8am sending a hug love eve x

I v`e always had a strange circadian rythm, I have always taken far longer to fall asleep than everyone else, & been unable to get up in the morning because I was so tired from not getting to sleep on time. Iv`e tried sleeping tablets, but they only work for a short time, & I get so tired of the same old advice that I get, "why don`t you just go to bed earlier if your`e tired in the mornings"! what`s the point if I`m going to lie in bed wide awake for hours! I think what I have is called delayed sleep phase disorder, & it doesn`t get any better with age.
