I'm on Effexor.

I've heard it can be difficult coming off of it. Did you taper off slowly?

I can’t. I think they were stolen and since I had just gotten them filled I can’t get any more. My insurance won’t fill them until the 1st.

Have you contacted your doctor?

I would think in this case they could prescribe something else. If your medication was stolen this is not your fault and you shouldn't have to go through this

I hear you Memmers. I got real irritable coming off. It always helps me to remember that I am feeling/different/strange/crazy because my brain is going through some real changes with drugs being added/subtracted. I wish you peace as you ride it out.☮️

Thank you so much. It’s so insane, and I feel like nobody knows anything about it. When I tell people I’m going through with drawls from a prescribed medication they look at me weird and it feels like they’re thinking “is that even real” but it’s so real and it’s so hard

Taking effexor for nine years, never stopped so I don't know what it's like, but I've heard it's unpleasant. Best to check with your doctor.

I feel like my husband is getting tired of it all. I’ve only been without them for 3 days. Thankfully over the weekend. I don’t know how I’m gonna get through work

I feel like I need to go back on them as soon as I can but at the same time I don’t know if that’s just the dependency of them.

Hi I have been thinking about coming off Effexor so I went on Utube and researched the advice. So many said how awful the side effects are and some people admitted to Hospital. You have to taper off very slowly maybe a year.I have decided to stay on them as too old to put up with all that. Take care x

I'm sorry you are dealing with this. I am as well, and know it is not like anything I have ever experienced. It's hard to explain to others. Maybe show him some of the YouTube videos?
