Have you tried CBT? My GP referred me (I'm in Ireland), but I think you might be able to self-refer under the NHS?
Anyway, I found both it and anti-depressants helped immensely.
Hi, I personally have not tried other cognitive methods. I have simply been recommended breathing exercises and the medications my doctor gives me and visits to the psychiatrist. What is it like for you to deal with anxiety?
That's a hard question to answer because depression is my dominant mental health issue, rather than anxiety. So for me it was more that some of the treatments for my depression (such as escitalopram and CBT) also had a really good effect on my anxiety levels.

In my case it is generalized anxiety and I am glad that it is tending to positive changes in your life with medications that are important to treat depression or anxiety
