I am new to this support group. I have had anxiety and panic since I was 13 years old. There is always a trigger that starts it up again. I thought I had gotten to the point where I could keep it under control but this time it has been harder to do so.

I truly hope so. I was able to get myself back on track before, and I really don't want to go the therapy route again.

Welcome. I am new to this site too. So far I really like the site and being able to read real life vs what the text book says

True if enough shrinks were to read what we share in this forum it would be of great help.

I agree. And if they have had personal experience in their lives with it.

I had a therapist years ago that had anxiety disorder and going to her and knowing that she understood completely made a difference. Unfortunately she no longer practices.

I am sorry to hear you are fighting anxiety. I have found that taking magnesium (magnesium malate is best) and ginseng helped me a lot, they calm the mind body and spirit and get rid of sticky negative thoughts the loop around in the mind. Also, getting outside, laying on the grass to get grounded and breathe in fresh air, looking at stars, these things help a lot too. Speak aloud positive truths to counteract the negative thoughts and things said to us. Also, Volunteering helps us get our of our own misery to help others, which helps us. Call those negatives a lie and correct them to yourself. Protect yourself from those who put that added stress on you and go out and do new challenging things, take classes, go t meetups. Learn new things, meet new people, it will get you out of the pit.

I do like to use supplements. I developed a vitamin “cocktail” a while ago that seemed to work but I think I need to re-evaluate. My doctor had suggested magnesium a while ago but I forgot how much she said. How much magnesium and ginseng do you take?

And getting out does help. I started walking again. I find a good two mile walk puts me in a better frame of mind. And the idea of speaking out loud I like that too I stared of just doing it in my head.

I take 400mg magnesium citrate and malate mix and 790 Korean ginseng. My products come thru nature's sunshine which I find to be very reliable.
