Anxious

I'm breaking out and itchy. I'm not sure why or what caused it. But it's freaking me out. I took a shower earlier and was ok. And Mom used this carpet freshener and it just messed with my throat and it's really strong smelling. Maybe it's causing it?? Or the contact with a different shampoo maybe. I'm trying my best to not call an ambulance and just wait it out first because I don't want an unneeded er trip. And they'll just give me a Benadryl and send me home

Do you have a general doctor to call for advice?

If you've got the Benadryl handy, it sounds like it's helped you in the past.

You can still see a doctor if that doesn't help.

I found some Benadryl and I'm ok now. I feel a little silly for worrying 😕🤦🏻‍♀️Sometimes I still can't help but to get anxious and let it get the best of me

Thanks for the update.

Here's what I do.

Notice that you panicked, and it didn't serve you well. Make a daily plan to look for tools to manage your anxiety before it turns into a full-blown panic. Practice using those tools.

Sounds like you may be allergic to the carpet cleaner, or at least intolerant to it.

try to see your doctor.

I've stopped reacting once I like got used to it. It's weird new things I react to a lot of things I'm not used to. Then I stop when it's been around or I get used to it

I have a condition where my body produces too much histamine....I go through constant itching spells....as long as your breathing isn't affected you should be ok with just the benadryl....keep an eye on it and if it continues you may need to seek medical intervention

Sometimes I think maybe that's the thing for me too...sometimes I just react to everything. And then when I'm used to it, it stops. It's really weird

unfortunately for me I've been taking benedryl for so long that I have to take at least twice the recommended dose for it to work....which isn't good either....

I'm sorry that sucks
