So I recently tried to quit smoking and it brought to light an anxiety disorder I mostly likely already had. I tend to minimize what’s going on in my life when friends or family also have something going on and my best friend called me out on it. While I can’t seem to break the habit with the ones I love I thought I’d start here. I have become obsessed with think I’m having a heart attack and I know logically and have been told by multiple doctors that it is a panic attack it’s not helping. I recently started medication and for the most part it seems to be helping but sometimes I just can’t get the thought out of my head and it’s has gotten to the point that I have been to the emergency room several times because I can’t tell the difference between the two any longer. If anyone has and tips to get this thought out they would be very much appreciated! Thanks

It's very common to get those symptoms confused. We've had quite a few members with similar problems over the years.
The good thing is you've checked things out medically. You can never assume it's panic or anxiety you have to get medically checked.
What sort of things are you doing to try and get your anxiety under control?
