Hi, I just heard of this site and I’ve been diagnosed with major depressive disorder about a year ago. When I went to counseling and they said that, I guess I thought it would be cured in a way and so even though it’s been a year I just realized it’s not something that I can cure and never deal with again. Thus lately I’ve been coming to terms with that and it’s caused a bit of a relapse. I can’t see a counselor again and so I’m just trying anything to help, so that’s why I’m here really.
Thanks,
Oh

I was diagnosed with Major Depression and Anxiety Disorder/PTSD a few years ago. I had a breakdown which lasted about a year and a half before the counseling and meds kicked in. I see a therapist and psychiatrist
I really identify with you about coming to terms with the fact that’s it’s not a disease I can cure and never deal with again. I’m working on acceptance one day at a time.
