Switching medication from sertraline to Duloxetine i am coming off 125mg sertraline to start 30 mg duloxetine

Iam coming off 125mg sertraline to start 30 mg duloxetine. My gp is weaning me off the 125mg of sertraling very quick in fact over 8 days then on day 9 start on duloxetine has anybody done it so quickly I think it's to fast and quite afraid

I'm so sorry you are still struggling with this.

You do have the right to ask for a slower taper. Are you symptomatic with the decrease? I have been through this so many times and it's horrible

I did a taper off my previous ssri and it was quick but worked out fine. See how it makes you feel and communicate with your dr if it’s causing issues

How quickly did you come off it and what method then did you start on a different medication

I started new meds at the same time as I came off old ones. So I always had something in my system

Hi grooygirl. I am on day 4 of dropping 25mg of my sertraline I am feeling so worked up tomorrow I have to drop another 50mg I am so frightened

Oh If you are feeling worked up id definitely tell your dr. Everyone is different and sometimes you have to do slower. I know I did a lot of exercise during my switch so not sure if that helped mentally too.

I've done the same. Went down to 100mg Sertraline for a week and then onto 30mg Duloxetine. I'm okish, just want to know when the anxiety will lower. I take mine in the morning as someone said you can get insomnia and i struggle with sleep as it is.
