Lexapro - increased urge to Pee

Hi, I’ve been on Lexapro for 5 weeks now.. started on 5mg, moved to 10, 15, then 20mg. When I moved from 15 to 20, I developed a need to pee all of the time. I go and 5 mins later I have pressure in my bladder again. Anyone else experienced this and did it resolve?

Hi Ben1505 I've done some research on the issue since I am on it

myself (although I don't have a problem with it) It says for some they

can have the side effect of frequent urination. For those who do, it is

best to talk with your doctor regarding how it can be addressed.

Either by the doctor regulating the dosage or maybe putting you on something

else. Please don't make any adjustments on your own. Only your doctor knows

what's best. Good Luck xx

thanks… have spoken with doctor and he’s put me on some antibiotics for a week. I don’t mind peeing more… it’s the constant urge to go that’s troubling…

Ben I'm glad you went to the doctor. The fact that he put you on antibiotics

mights very well be that you have a bladder infection. That constant urge feeling

is using the sign of that. Feel better soon and let me know how you are doing. xx
