I'm on the edge...

I'm so tired of being okay for a day, and then reminded of my sadness the next day. I feel tired, but not in my body. I feel tired in my mind. I'm tired, of life.

I can relate to your feelings. It can be so challenging when you don't feel like you are in control of your emotional state because that can impact so many other areas of your life!

For me, I've found it helpful to actively seek out moments where I can experience joy everyday. Sometimes it's as simple as enjoying an extra sweet cup of coffee in the morning, catching up on a guilty pleasure TV series, or just sticking my bare feet in the grass.

I've also tried expanding my interests by exploring hobbies or activities that I enjoyed in childhood. Engaging with your inner child can bring so much joy! For me, that's looked like starting a sticker collection (as a child, I was never allowed to have stickers after I put them all over the windows of my mom's car).

I hope that you are able to find some thing in your life that sparks joy for you. While there are many things in life that are outside of our control, we always have a choice in how we respond. I can't speak to your situation specifically, but I hope that you can find some peace because you deserve to have a life that you love living.

I hope you are feeling a little better now. I know it's hard to put on a happy face, and try to carry on like everything is normal. Have you been able to find a doctor to help you get everything out of life that you deserve? Wishing you the best!😇

I told my mother about wanting to go to therapy, but she thinks I'm being dramatic. And I can't afford it by myself.

Oh my gosh, this is so sad. I can't believe she would say that to you. Are there any social services there, where they can help you get the treatment you need? Praying you find someone soon🐨🦘

I was having a rough patch yesterday, and started thinking that I am better than this depression. Today my spirits have lifted quite a bit. Hope you're feeling better today.

I hope you find the help you need soon. No one should have to go through anxiety and depression alone. I am here to listen, I know that's not a lot, but it's good to have someone to talk to.

How is your day going so far? I know its early, at least for me on the east coast.

Try to think of some fun things today, and smile, it helps me a lot! 😍😍

My day was long, and tiring. I'm glad to be home. Maybe I'll sleep good tonight.

Agree 101%.

I'm finally starting to learn to not fight every little symptom i get or intrusive thoughts I get.

I'm getting better but super challenging, I'm very uses to getting in the fetal position and not doing anything i dont absolutely have to. But that doesn't work with a family.

I've been to beautiful Cape Town - are you close enough that you can visit the waterfront area? I felt so happy walking along the restaurants along the water. I also loved the animal reserve that was right in Cape Town. (I enjoyed the little monkeys 🐒 that jumped on me when I came through the gate to their area.) Perhaps just getting out will help you feel more positive. How can we support you? My thoughts are with you sadandloner 1 😊

I am close to Waterfront but I barely go there. Thank you for sympathizing with me.

One thing that has helped me is that I've exchanged emails with a person that I met on this site for over a year now. We talk about many things but we always address our anxiety issues. Could this help you?

I was on this site for awhile before I found someone suitable to email with. I took my time and got to know different members before I found one who clicked. The member I email with is from a different country, which was one of the things I was looking for. I also wanted someone with similar issues. Also, we both have generic email addresses so we are able to keep our privacy. I hope this helps.
