Hi all,I suffervw chronic pain,widespread issues,I we t to local hospital I was told I been there before and they can't help me,gave me a steroid shot n sent me out the door,I feel totally depressed n lost, I'm in south FL and finding help w pain is very difficult,I've had shots,shots,n more shots,only minor relief if any...ever since this war on Dr's and opioid its been hell,I read other people's horror stories w same similar issues w rude drs,cold shoulder,this is usa,why no help ...

I remember being in regular pain in my leg wasn't sure what was causing it couldn't get a doctors appointment so went up to AnE doctor said I was wasting his time and walked away and said they are very busy as it was Christmas week I wasn't very happy.

I am sorry to hear about your situation Two things came to mind: 1) based on my understanding, medical marijuana has been legal in Florida since 2016. Even the US Government acknowledges that: "A few studies have found that cannabis can be helpful in treating neuropathic pain (a specific type of chronic pain caused by damaged nerves)" cdc.gov/cannabis/health-eff.... Consulting with a marijuana doctor in Florida may be helpful. I personally am not an advocate of marijuana use, but I do use it occasionally for pain relief and find it helpful for me.

2) I personally was very skeptical, but listening and reading about the work of Dr. David Spiegel at Stanford, among others including Steven Gurgevich, I have come to believe that medical hypnosis can be an effective source of relief for pain. I don't want to endorse any specific offerings, but there are a lot of good free podcasts with Dr. Spiegel, and his app Reveri is pretty good. I have also purchased and found benefit from some of Steven Gurgevich's offerings on the sounds true website.

I received fl mmj there program stinks and it's very $$$ I'm on disability,I was shocked at priced for cbd cbg products,it's not a option..I talked to Dr about pain pump,but he said lifestyle would be changed, what lifestyle I have none w chronic pain and severe anxiety..planted w panic attacks n high anxiety w chronic widespread body pain,osteo,and ddd djd, & such..60yrs old..

It's a shame that doctors were responsible with overuse of pain meds but now it's the people who suffer for it. I had asked my neuro for a new script for vicoden because mine had expired. I only use them for severe headaches. And I got a long speech about over use of them. i was insulted and said not everyone abuses them. just don't assume. then I refused the script. they caused this problem but refuse to help those that did get addicted to them to get off them. so the nonabusers suffer for it.

Sadly it's all protocol there taught to push you out the door, bet my life they charged the insurance fast enough though ..I been having hellish anxiety along w this pain as I been feeling very worried about my health,and no one else seems to care,Dr wise..it's gotten terrible the way where treated..then they give you referrals that don't take your insurance then your ba k to square one w no help?..God help us that are suffering...
