How well do you sleep 😴?

Whilst I'm tired most of the day , I dread the thought of going to bed, even trying to get a comfortable position, arthritis in both my shoulders, can't lye on my back as that aches as soon I get into bed, and throw in the neuropathy in my feet/ legs and even hands at nighttime is getting beyond the joke, oh and another " habit " has appeared I'm waking up with dribble down my chin onto my pj's, and constantly turning my pillows over as they get " hot" feeling, and don't even feel like I've had a quality night's rest, getting old (60) isn't what I thought would be so easy, I'm sure there's others who have difficulties sleeping and my sympathy goes out to you all !!!

I am so sorry for your suffering. I take medication that makes me sleep, but I do not have the pain that you have. I just can't get my mind to fall asleep without medication.

Yes o know what you mean, I take mirtrazapine at night time amitiptline and a pain killer, I'm currently dealing with a root canal treatment and that's pretty uncomfortable at the moment and have a couple of hospital appointments, and it's the camera job up the rear end, and worrying about a growth in my pelvic area, it seems non stop hospital and doctors.

I just had the camera there too. The prep was not successful so I have to go through it all over again. This time with a two day prep. I am dreading it. I can't believe I went through all of that prep and the procedure itself for absolutely nothing.

Same here, I'm dreading it, the first procedure was absolutely agony, they've offered sedation but I've had that done before and I still remember myself swearing!!!

You did it without sedation??? Wow. Nope I was put out by an anesthesiologist and I was gone gone.

Yes i tried it with gas and air , but they had to stop, what concerns me is that I've spoken to a nurse who was a charge nurse in Kings hospital, and often it's the actual growth stopping the camera going further up, I'm absolutely dreading this next procedure even with sedation, boy it's time to bite the bullet 😬

Sleep has always eluded me ,so much so i cant wait for morning to come, however since taking Valerian Root complex 2400 mg my sleep has improved dramatically ( I do take 4 ).

Sleep has been my problem lately too. So you're saying that you take valerian root tablets correct? I was taking pharmaceuticals but had to stop because it was given me such brain fog during the day. I went back to melatonin but it only lasts for a few days and then it stops. I have to switch to something else for a few days and then maybe go back to melatonin?

Yes i take valerian root, and it helps a lot, but not always successful. I once used melatonin but it didn't work for me.

I'm thinking that I might have to take melatonin for just a few days and then I might switch to valerian route for a few days and then back to melatonin. It seems I have to switch around because after a few days they lose their effectiveness. I have tried so many pharmaceuticals but it seems to give me such brain fog the next day and then I end up stopping.

I completely understand. I had the brain fog and the dizziness during the day. I'm actually thinking of going to the pharmacy and just trying an over-the-counter sleeping aid. I remember using Benadryl many years ago and that seem to help for a short time.
