SSRI’s work on serotonin levels, which is also critical to temperature balance in the body. Studies are now showing the correlation between being on a SSRI and being hot often or getting hot quite easily.
I have been suffering since getting back on my SSRI with this! I thought it was only premenopause and weight but this may factor in too. So very interesting.
Thought you guys might find it interesting too.

Is the heat accompanied by sweating or is it more like a hot flash?
It would be interesting if some of the males would weigh in on this. I'm always fascinated with new info and I ask so many questions. I'm curious if there is a hormone connection
Hi Willow, this information makes a lot of sense, because I too thought I was having hot flashes and my ADs weren’t working because I’m also going through peri menapause. I’ve stopped the HRT I was on but stayed on the ADs, and they are slowly making a difference. Thankyou for your help.
thank you for this information, I had no idea. I keep wondering why I am always so warm. I carry a paper fan with me everywhere I go. Wish the doctors would tell us this
For me it’s like it is just much hotter than it really is. Say it’s a nice 80*F outside with a breeze. I often feel like it’s 100* F. Today it wasn’t even 70*F and I drove with no doors on our jeep and even though my arms were cool, I still felt warm/comfortable.
