Long term mirtazapine

I've been on mirtazapine for years, 10 plusI remember being a bit dizzy or light headed

Especially when standing up but it did go off.

It's good for helping with sleep., (at lower dose) but I had to start a second anti depressant recently to help with anxiety.

Weight gain is a big challenge on mirtazapine.

Hi,I am in the same boat taking Mirtazapine for its sedating effects to help with sleep + one other medication.

The weight gain is a well-known side effect.

This is best managed by extra attention to my diet and daily exercise, walking is enough.

If the weather is bad, some chair yoga is next option. There are lots of apps to choose from.

Hopefully you and your doctor have chosen the best combination based on the doctor's expertise and your experience/preferences.

I seem to go better with Mirtazapine at night and other meds in the morning. 🐈‍⬛
