Mirtazapine : Hi I've been on... - Anxiety and Depre...
Mirtazapine
I had to ask to go onto another medication I'm on sertraline 100mg now because I had same problem I put on 2 stone and since being off that medication Ive gone back down to just under 10.
Well done you I hope it works for you 👍
A good decision in my opinion. I did the same. After trying several medications I realized I was just emotionally numbed and like you said, I wanted to feel normal and face life with a clear mind. Good for you! I did it under my psychiatrist supervision and had no problems with withdrawal. So, I recommend you to do the same. They, of course, will insist you absolutely need to be medicated at all times but you have the final word about your health. Best of luck, take care
Thanks for your reply, really had enough of feeling like this, these pills supposedly are to make you feel better not flat and fed up shall book a appointment at the doctors if I can get in fingers crossed.
So true. I recently watched a YouTube video where a psychiatrist at Stanford commented that the majority of antidepressants are ineffective. Then why doctors keep prescribing them? I tried between 7 or 8 and none of them made me feel better, but most of them gave me side effects. It’s absolutely crazy!
Think I'm just going to go cold turkey only on 15mg can't carry on like this.
I wouldn’t recommend it though. It’s better do it gradually. Withdrawal symptoms can be horrendous. I got horrible panic attacks only because I forgot my medication one time. The same happened to my mom. She threw up nonstop for days, and she ended up in the emergency room. You don’t want that happening to you. Better tapering off under your doctor’s supervision.
Try getting a appointment on the NHS
You probably right though thanks for the advice 😊
HelloI'm on 15mg now. Did your anxiety get worse. I've stomach issues so the over eating part is real problem.
How have you got on? I'm starting to come off mirtazapine due to bad side effects. However my GP told me to just stop taking it and I've since found out that's terrible advice so I'm about to start tapering it to prevent withdrawal.
Hi iam on 30 mg of mitazpine went up 6 months ago ,now iam afraid to come down to 15 is that too big a jump .I've just been made redundant and I get very lonely but don't think this drug is the one for me .
My gp said give it a bit more time but I can't iam going to start reducing it very slowly. My mood is also terrible. I'd be grateful for some advice xx
