Anyone else dealing with the side effects from Mirtazapine
Mirtazapine: Anyone else dealing with... - Anxiety and Depre...
Mirtazapine
Extreme hunger?
Yes! Also very sleepy with tremors
Tremors? I didn't experience that . I did welcome the sleepiness as struggle in that department. Has your doctor told you to take at night? I started on 15mg now on 30mg. But always at night
Yes I’m using 7.5 at night but ended up sleeping through out the day. The medicine just seems too strong
Every new medication will have an adjustment period but I'm surprised the effects on you are so strong. When I looked up mirtazapine the information was if given as a sleep aid a lower dose like 7.5 would be given and a higher dose would be for depression as for some reason the drowsiness is caused by a lower rather than higher dose. Maybe the doctor has started you on too low a dose? I can only share my experience with the medication though but I think you should definitely go back to the doctor with your side effects. They don't always get it right and if it's ruining your daytime then maybe it doesn't suite you. Sertraline didn't suite me but other people find it effective 😬
I had all of these the worst the fluid retention and extreme hunger! And I still get the tremors even on sertraline x
I hope you find what suites your needs . Mirtazapine has helped me but obviously not suited to everyone x
heavy hunger. Gained 12 pounds
See ya!!
Hi yes came of it as above
My alternatives can have similar but do get on a lot better
Everyone is different though
Maybe go back to doc if you want to change thetes lots alternatives
Minesc
Venlafaxine
Trazadone
And
Pregabalin (increased)
As for nerves pain
But being rolled out for anxiety now it does help
Constantly hungry on mitazpine just gone up to 30mg I sleep well not sure it helps with anxiety I keep going see how it goes hate medication. Not too many side effects but it's not the best tablet. Good look let us know how you get on xx
After taking 15mg my heart rate slows down considerably when falling to sleep - so much so that it skips a beat and that triggers bad night horror attacks. On one ocassion I propelled myself out of bed and bounced off a chest of drawers. Use with caution.
