Most of the time, my negative thoughts are true especially that I’m a terrible person and I just ruined my life over my irresponsible and immature behavior. I have no positive qualities in myself. I haven’t overcome nothing and my challenges haven’t gone away. I’m not strong, I’m just a weak stubborn coward with no redeeming qualities.

Hello my dear, I'm 77 yrs old so I hope you won't be offended by my advice. Some times I talk to my young self and try to say things that are encouraging trying to give to myself what I missed growing up If you didn't get enough love as a child you won't feel good about yourself but you can give yourself love and approval . Give it a try. In your head of course.
you have to change your thoughts. You are not a terrible person . You are trying . Your past will help you become who you want to be. You are a survivor that is a positive quality and you are bake to express yourself well. Don’t be soo hard on yourself . Always here ……
I believe everyone has something unique to offer the world. That's our reason for being her. I'm 60 and still have tons of negative self talk but several times a day I remind myself that I have something unique to offer the world. You sound very overwhelmed so maybe that statement could be a good start.
Hi Sweetheart, I'm a 63-year-old lady in the US. I have no idea what "terrible" thing you've done, but when I was 22 I was the drunk driver in a car accident that killed my friend. I had already suffered from depression & anxiety before this (which explained a lot of the drinking), but my bad thoughts and self-hatred became much worse after the accident, even though I had quit drinking. I did not believe I deserved to live.
Fast forward to today. I got married and have 2 awesome sons and now have 2 grandchildren. Over the years and still, I have anxiety, depression and negative self-talk, but I've learned the bad days and the bad thoughts do pass.
My advice is to 1) get professional help, 2) keep trying different meds until you find a combination that works for you, and 3) DON'T GIVE UP! You can do this.
