I always choke and find chewing helps. But few times before starting work I have felt like vomiting and now have milk or cranberry juice in morning. It has helped. I don't know but not too much food. Take your situation as much more severe and doctor might help and give you few tips to help and nutritionist. But pyschiatrist have been very helpful to me in past and think your on right , good path
🙋♀️ that is probably my biggest fear and I don't know why. I have a very strong gag reflex, have a horrible experience at the dentist, and anytime I become anxious my throat feels like it's closing up, and I think if I start gagging that I'll begin to vomit uncontrollably. I always have mints with me and it helps. Deep breathing often helps too. Sorry you're going through this.
I am constantly eating mints as well. Anytime I go anywhere I worry and panic about the possibility of throwing up while I'm o out even tho I'm not sick. I feel this phobia is the root of all my other anxiety issues. I don't really even know why I'm so terrified of it but I am. Thank you for sharing with me. I know it can be hard to share someone
I haven't tried therapy for this specifically I'm looking into a new therapist cause all mind does is talk about herself and her family members so I am currently looking for a new one
I tend to pass out whenever I vomit, so I am terrified of it. What I find helps is just talking to myself about it when I feel it coming. I try to reassure myself that it is okay, and I will be okay. It helps me. I hope it helps you.
