scared for tonight

I went to dinner with my boyfriend and his mom. I got four sliders. I had one which looked a little red (more red than I would like for something cooked medium). I then picked up the next one and it was very red. They were warm but looked extremely rare. I sent it back and got new ones. Now I’m scared I’ll get sick from the one I ate that was a little red (slightly rare).

Hi Daisy425,I don't like meat not cooked to my liking either. 😔

Having said that, beef 🐄 and kangaroo steaks, in my opinion are best medium rare.

Certainly other meats are unsafe if not cooked well done.

I guess I am trying to say, you are going to be OK, despite your misgivings, if you had beef cooked to order. I don't know if you have kangaroo meat on the menu at your eatery.
