I don't really know, but my understanding is that trying to destroy will only result in destruction and longing. For me, I like to envision tackling unwanted feeling and craving as an attempt to untangle. Sometimes some biting is needed, sometimes some tool work with pliers or screwdrivers, and almost always it feels like I'm not making progress, but sometimes, eventually after a lot of work and frustration when I didn't feel like I was making progress the knot can be done although kinks remain and knots previously tied have a terrible trick of retying themselves if not be carefully tended. A lot of self anointed gurus like to use the tact of acceptance and radical acceptance. This is also a possibility but I really don't like knots and so I try to untangle, even if I end up not making any progress or even making things apparently worse.

Hi Sarah, that is a rough place to be in. Sometimes it seems like it would be nice to be a robot. That is a pack of lies though, our desires, wants, wishes, and needs guide us. I think you would probably be best to reframe a lot of them, and if you need to you can go deep to your core values and reevaluate how you are living. Our desires serve a purpose, though they are sometimes extremely annoying and if we have partners and others in our lives that we need help from with fulfilling them lots and lots of communication will be needed.☮️

you don’t need to. That’s first Avol. You need to not be worried about any of that because it’s natural for everyone. You decrease don’t need to try to decrease your sexual thought or increase them? What kind of sex thoughts and what medicine are u on currently to post this?

Just saw this and needed to respond. You don't; you just better learn how to manage these things over time because they're part of being human. They don't necessarily turn off.

I tried to turn these and many other things off with drugs and alcohol, so at the very least please trust me when I say -that- is not a particularly good way of going about it. Good luck.

I don't think you can. My depression is so severe that I am numb to pretty much everything, but those desires still come. I pray for them to pass. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Best of luck to you.

Thank you for the information, Twinkly. Now I feel foolish for replying to a person who isn’t there. Lol

Don't feel foolish as Hidden can also mean they are just unfollowing the site and they can come back in to see any replies temporarily before going again.
