Hi I'm Eric. I have difficulty dealing with my automatic negative thoughts. They get in my way and make my day unmanageable. I think I about the same type of thoughts over and over again ( if people can notice me noticing them). I'd like help to stop my automatic negative thoughts if you're willing to help, thanks.

Not every method works for everyone. I have started reading “The anxiety and Phobia workbook” and I’m listening to some positive messaging through ear buds at night. I don’t know if it will help you, but if you try different things you may find what works best for you. Just keep trying and don’t give up until you find the method that helps reset your brain.

reset my brain in what ways? To no longer think negatively about irrational fears?

Yes, I guess what I am saying “reprogram” your brain with positive messages rather than negative ones. I am a work in progress. I am just saying that is what I am trying to do for myself right now. I have done it before. I spent the last two years with my anxiety in check. I am having a relapse and fighting my way back using these methods.

i see...yeah sounds like a good idea to me, sorry you're fighting your way back now, hopefully you can get back to where you were, having your anxiety in check.

Hi bugsramsey, did you know that our brain can be retrained? The same automatic

negative thoughts can be changed to automatic positive ones. It's a brainwashing per se

to break a habit learned over the years. Once again, YouTube has meditations to listen

to while sleeping that affects the subconscious mind. As we sleep, the subconscious mind

absorbs all the positive thoughts it's hearing. Usually, after 30 days, some changes are felt.

Listening to it there after builds the positivity more and more until you no longer have to

want it, it will come automatically. Anything worth while, takes time and patience but it

can and will happen with continued effort. :) xx
