I am almost a newcomer in Canada, starting my studies in my 40 s here, struggling with finding job, my concerns about my old parents, financial pressures, a sudden news about an illness that needs regular treatments and some other affairs get me stuck in a situation of distractions, anxiety and a feeling of depression and frustration. I have overthinking in away that I forget things that I should do during my daily works. I feel I got lost and I need to talk . I started regular sessions with therapists, but still I need to share my situation with a group in order to reduce my tensions and heal myself.

Hello Nazanin

Welcome to this amazing group of intelligent, interesting, empathetic and loving group.

What is great is that this group can be there for us when just need someone to listen or maybe we sometimes vent . Also we can all share our experiences. Our knowlege. Our research done for what can sometimes be a complicated world we live in.

I e been on here 6 months and have learned a ton and have grown greatly.

I say don’t be afraid to lay out whatever’s going on with you i. If you feel stuck or overwhelmed or just need some problem-solving done by some others that have experience much of what you’re going through or have gone through

Welcome again

Much love

Craig

A quick suggestion, try and not to think of everything that confronts you as one massive mountain. All that does is overwhelm with the net result that you end up like a rabbit caught in the headlights of an oncoming car. You freeze, and you can neither go forward (make progress) nor go back (put the problems out of your mind). What is more, the longer the issues remain unaddressed, the more heavily they weigh.

Instead, consider the different issues as a series of mole hills. To wit, that should help you think about each individually and make better decisions. In turn, you might then be able to resolve some or all of them through reasoned logic.

Best of luck

t2t (tommy2toes).

A friend of mine once said her !psychiatrist said, "take a little bit of the whole!" That line always helped me. I am dealing with A lot, now, as well & have to remind myself of that line!
