I recently had ECT done (14treatments) I was feeling like it had changed my life and I was able to live again. But now I am back to feeling low moods, no motivation, and all the other symptoms associated with depression and anxiety. I was in a treatement facility and recently came back home, so maybe it’s just a stage of stage oftransition.
Has anyone had success from ECT and then had symptoms come back? Did they come back and then get better again? Or did anyone have to do another series? Maybe try bilateral as I only did unilateral. Any advice? I am still taking 3 antidepressants as well.

Howdy Jersey, I am sorry that you are feeling down. I am glad you had some reprieve though! I haven't done ECT, but did ketamine therapy. They start you with six treatments here, and I was okay for a while, but eventually did ketamine assisted psychotherapy, and my life is changed. I think things like this can help our neuroplasticity, but we still have to put in the work. I think that ultimately we usually have to change the way we think to change the way we feel.
Was the ECT done at the facility? Are there supposed to be maintenance doses of this? I am sorry that you are going through this... It is so hard going through ups and downs. I wish you the best on your journey.☮️
