I often post on this site but at times my own mental health being affected .
I live in U.K. and my Mother lives overseas and has problems with her Properties.
I had to deal with my Fathers properties and when he died in Feb 2018 I sold all of these and tried to make a life since 2018.
We are now in 2024 and I am sad that my age for jobs is acting as a deterrent and my Mother makes demands on me and I cannot keep on going overseas to offer support and return back to square one every year .
I am sad if my posts are repetitive

Hi Roukaya
I am sad for you as well but keep trying, the job market can be unpredictable and your face may just fit somewhere.
Look at alternatives though.
My daughter in law failed to get into a law practice - it's often not what you know but who you know in this country. She had just graduated and was 23. So you aren't alone with this. She now works in a related job.
It's so frustrating isn't it when you try your best to get a job and it's not happening!
I got invited to interview at a place for 3pm on Valentines day and I got back to them to say sorry I can't make that date and time and they said about doing it this Monday coming at 12noon.
Thursday just gone I received a message saying tomorrow's interview was cancelled and they weren't going to rearrange!
I wasn't upset when they did that though as it was nice that they had shown me their hand before it was too late!
It's true is the proverb don't put all your eggs in the one basket and keep an open mind and look at alternatives.
