Been battling Covid for 17 days. I am negative but have a lot of physical issues achy big time. Always exhausted. No motivation. Starting to take a toll on me mentally. Doctor says that sometimes it takes weeks or months to get rid of everything. I hate feeling like this

COVID-19
Quick question for you, before I respond any further.
Was this your first time that you had covid, or did you have it before?
"Been battling Covid for 17 days. I am negative but have a lot of physical issues achy big time. Always exhausted. No motivation. Starting to take a toll on me mentally. Doctor says that sometimes it takes weeks or months to get rid of everything. I hate feeling like this "
I definitely went to day 10, before getting that negative result.
The fever stopped around day 5-ish, but the other symptoms were still there, and then I finally got to the negative test at day 10.
.
I did do the Tylenol, to help with my body aches and pains, and that helped a lot.
I'm not the biggest fan of taking pain relievers, but Tylenol was one of the biggest things to help get me through this.
Muscinex was the other thing that helped a lot. (for anybody, especially new members, please talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you want to take Muscinex if you are already taking antidepressants for your anxiety/depression)
^ (& also for the newer people) Definitely talk to your doctor, nurse, pharmacist if you get shortness of breath, due to congestion. (key word there is "congestion", if you have covid, and not anxiety/panic attacks)
.
The tired and lack of motivation thing I had too. I think once I started getting my appetite back, that helped and started to get better.
.
In the mean time, I highly recommend staying as hydrated as possible.
Drink plenty of water. More than you normally due.
^ As one nurse on the phone told me, you need that water not only to stay hydrated, but to help "flush out" this stuff from your system.
.
I hope that you feel better soon.
I just got covid feel miserable to. Just adds to mood problem.
I am sorry that you are still suffering. Take care of yourself.
