Struggling with my Emetophobia :(

I have severe Emetophobia (fear of throwing up) and I threw up a week ago from anxiety. Ever since then I’ve been struggling with constant crippling anxiety, multiple daily panic attacks, and nausea caused by anxiety. When I get nauseous that makes my anxiety spiral out of control which then in turn makes me more nauseous and it’s a vicious never ending cycle. I just don’t know what to do at all. I just want to feel better. Any help is appreciated

That sounds like a terrible form of anxiety. I've not experienced it myself so don't know what to advise you.

There are so many people on here though I'm sure someone can relate and it's great that you posted and asked for help. That's always a positive step x

Have you seen a doctor? They can give medication to ease the anxiety.

yes I am already on meds for anxiety

That sounds really awful. I know someone with a similar condition, where the anxiety around throwing up makes her feel more sick. Know that you are not alone and that there are things that can be done to help (Zofran comes to mind). I’m really sorry you’re going through this and hope it gets better.

I’ve been taking Zofran occasionally but with how anxious I am, it barely works unfortunately

thank you yes it is honestly the worst thing ever. I have Zofran but since my nausea is caused by anxiety, it doesn’t help much.
