My biggest Detriment to my self care:

Pride:

B. pleasure that comes from some relationship, association, achievement, or possession that is seen as a source of honor, respect, etc.

C. exaggerated self-esteem : CONCEIT

being a public safety professional for the last 26 years pride is a terrible thing to deal with when it comes to self care....what makes matters worse is that i'm an empath....
