Ghost Services

I just heard a new term called "ghost services". This apparently refers to service providers who market themselves as available to help clients but can't due to be overwhelmed by the number of people seeking support.

The poor client has to go on waiting lists, in the case of mental healthcare, up to 3 months or longer.

The service just can't meet the client when they need care & support the most, before reaching a crisis point.

This situation increases stress for the person and may lead to a worsening of their mental illness😩

I don't see and end to these services due to a lack of funding to pay for scarce human resources.

I hope I am not too gloomy this close to a new year.

I hope and pray 🙏 things might be better for all of us in 2024. 🐈‍⬛

I hope U feel better on the New Year's Day, and afterwards. What are your plans for the New Year's day? I'll be at home, like every year. Will watch the fireworks, they're so beautiful! But the bad thing about them, is that they scare the animals. Like so many other things, fireworks have their pros & cons.With respect, love & good vibes,
