Acid reflux

Is flaring tonight. My throat and deep in my ears are burning. Feels like they're on firee. I have to sit up or it's worse. It helps when I burp. I drank some RC, and this happens every time 🙄

Does anyone know what I can do to help with this?

What is RC? My daughter is recovering from a severe GERD/acid reflux triggered by antibiotics. They initially put her on Pepcid and Tums. You could try that, but if you need it longer than what the boxes recommend or get worse, you probably should see a doctor. It might be something different from what my daughter has.

It's a cola. It's like coke, but an off brand.

Mine would act up and I believe its related to anxiety. Adding a little baking soda to water (around a teaspoon), stirring it up and drinking it would reduce the acid in my stomach. Baking soda is the same ingredient that works in Tums ect.

Also, when I am having the stomach acid problem, soda definitely makes it worse. Same with fruit juice. Probably because they are acidic.

Definitely need to look into it

It works really well for me, and fast. I get relief from the baking soda in like less than a minute. And it is cheaper than buying the tablets, they are honestly overpriced.

Hi ashley dear...sometimes I find that sipping slowly on some cold milk can help

with the burning acid feeling as it coats the throat as well as the esophagus.

Feel better soon in whatever works for you :) xx

isn’t it the worst thing ever? I keep liquid antacid on hand. Mylanta is one brand for example but there are generics too. That helps for quick relief. Taking something like priloec or pepcid every day might prevent it. But I would see your doctor if it’s a constant problem.

Hi don’t know if you can get Gavison , but i swear by it, it forms a lining in your stomach.

I take the ol' pepto bismol sometimes for this. My anxiety definitely triggers some intestinal distress and sometimes heartburn

It ended up going away and I fell asleep
