Have any of you developed more acid when stressed or anxious?
If so, how did you fix it?
I've been dealing with it for about a week... I'm not really taking anything because I just don't feel like taking melox or any antacids. I just heard it's bad to take some every day. Do you think it has do do with me being more anxious than previous days ???

Oh wow!!! So are you telling me that you are just waiting to turn into cancer ?? That's not good.... i suffer from health anxiety and this just make me very anxious. Now I feel I don't have a cure and that I will die.
That is a pretty scathing generalisation there! There is a minimal risk that years of untreated reflux can cause a condition called Barrett’s Osophegus, which has a chance of turning into cancer. Please be careful what you say as many of us have health anxiety on here.
yeah think you will be fine I have had it for over 30 years I know others that have had it for many years and all alive and kicking, I get stuff from the doctors to control it, not sure if it is caused by anxiety though thought it was food and drink related but I would definitely talk to your health professional about it and see what they recommend
Mine definitely gets worse on days when I’m really stressed or anxious. I take ranitidine a lot, which does tend to help with some of it, but since the real cause of it is stress, it doesn’t stop it. If I don’t really well, it also makes it that much worse. I don’t think taking some meds necessarily hurts your stomach every day, but maybe it depends how long term you’re talking?
I can wreck my stomach without too much trouble, though. It just depends on how you carry your stress on any given day.
