another year of no cigarettes and it’s not getting better. I’ve waisted 6 years of the best times of my life and all I get is misery and extra time to live in misery. Quitting smoking was and is the worst decision of my life. It’s all a lie. You do you but never listen to an anti smoker. Terrible people. Rude, evil, mean people they are. Stay away from people who shit on you for smoking.

it’s that time of year
I have spent the time to read through all and I do mean all of your old posts. My question is do you actually think that your life would be better if you were smoking today?
To have that kind of anger after 6 years of not smoking and to not pick up again because of it is quite a feat. A lot of people wouldn’t have been able to do what you’re doing. Not all ex smokers are obnoxious. I wasn’t when I quit for two years. My sis lost two husbands to cancer from smoking and she can be almost a bully towards people who smoke. But I understand the trauma she went through watching her husbands suffer horribly til the end. Sometimes it’s not always about us. Other people can actually be trying to save our lives.
Would you ever try an alternative to smoking ?
I like to talk about meditation ever since I implemented it in my life 5 months ago and the practice of deep breathing and returning to the present moment relates to smoking in a way I believe. I've spoken to a few of my friends who smoke and they agree that the action of deep breathing for a couple of minutes while smoking is a great stress relief yet it's not necessarily the cigarette that gives them that but instead it's the action of controlled breathing. The cigarette gives a reason for them to do that practice without knowing they are meditating to some extent.
I'm no expert and I won't say I know how you feel because I won't be able to relate. I just wanted to offer something that may help or may not. But I hope you find a way to relieve what's holding you down.
I wish you the best of luck.
