All I want is to get up and be excited for the day. I'm sick of dreading every single thing that could happen because it all sucks. But it all sucks! All of my family is every junkies or mentally ill, capitalism is slowly sucking the life from my generation and people keep dying. How TF am I supposed to be smiles when there is literally nothing to smile abiut righr now

I can relate so much to what you said. It’s hard to smile when it feels like the entire world has gone to hell. Many family members of mine also struggle with mental illness and it’s difficult to watch people I love suffer. I just wanted you to know that you aren’t alone🙂

Things won't always be so bad. Keep reaching out for support from healthy people. Look for little things that are less terrible like a good book or a butterfly. Maybe try out some hobbies they can be a good release. I'm sorry you're going through so much but after the darkness comes the dawn. I wish I had better words to help. I'll be praying for you.

It's all about living in the moment and being grateful in what you have right now.

Once we start speculating the future, our hope and dreams fade away.

As for being excited with each new day?? Finding the smallest thing to look forward

to during that day will help keep you afloat. Just one thing to look forward to can

make the difference between how you feel mentally as well as physically.

It could be a game on tv, a favorite movie, a treat yourself moment to something

that can lift your spirits. Once again, look around and be grateful that you have

a roof over your head, food to eat and people who care about you even if they

don't understand. Remember that we do.

Come on here and talk. This is your safety zone, your stable grounds.

Since there have never been any guarantees in Life, we have to live life to the

fullest. :) xx

I agree with you. I'm 75, and when I was a child it was still a beautiful planet. Clouds of butterflies, (seen precisely 3 this year), almost nonexistent bees, Very few songbirds thanks to Bird 'flu, only the carrion birds seem to be making a living.

Cheers, Midori

I feel for you when it comes to the world. It seems like everything is going to hell with the environment and climate. People have changed and have become more self-centered and less empathetic and caring. I try to focus on little things that make me smile. I have no control over the world, so I have to make the best of each day. There is still a lot of beauty in the world. I try to exercise on a regular basis, which always makes me feel better. I am also trying to be the best person I can be, to fight the negative tide.

well has not smiling helped? Did it make any of those things better even just a little bit? Acceptance is huge when you except the things you cannot change it’s like a weight lifted off your shoulders, because if not smiling, doesn’t change anything why not smile instead? The world is beautiful. Just look around you.

The world has never had so much prosperity, civil rights, ease, health. We live like kings. Don't let the news drag you down. the world is better than it's ever been in history. If you watch the news we have to hear about every horrible thing that happens in every corner of the world and I don't think people were made to listen to that all the time. There are just as many good things happening.

Half of the world lives on less than 6.85$ per person, per day. Who is this "we" that you're talking about?
