think of something you really like or place yourself in holiday of your dreams - that might help

I will try I keep stoping my self from imaginations cause that’s all I’ve done all my life is just escape in my imagination and it’s led to detachment

I start to relax abit and then I get intrusive thoughts that I’ll decline in my own and it starts all over again

Yeah u can find friends on dating websites to like Facebook dating and have like texting buddies when you're bored and join groups on fb you are interested in or something local. But remember to be fun and don't take yourself so seriously I know cuz I did it myself and now I'm free of all my baggage I can be free silky funny go dancing like I used to before health issues I'm just a diff person now just continue working on yourself and do thing alone and learn abt yourself and be a better version than u r today😁

Hi, I have had panic attacks in the past and what helps me is music. I don’t know if you have tried it but it works well for me.

I’ll give it a try I think I just need to have a good cry I’ve been crying everyday tbh! I’ve been putting in movies on in the background haven’t been actually watching them but the noise is comforting

There’s nothing wrong with a good cry💗. I hope that you feel better afterwards. Music of all kinds has the ability to change our emotions. I was going to teach music therapy because of how much I believe this to be true.

Very true! I’ll put some happy music on today if I can. This big change is a lot harder than I thought it was going to be!

I often put the radio on when I'm on my own, it's nice to hear other people chatting.Panic attacks while alone are probably one of the hardest things anyone can encounter in life, truly horrible. Know that you are doing well through a really tough time, and that it won't last forever x

Good idea I think I just need to get out of the house in a car listening to the radio and they are or even just being on edge or not so n a good place mentally being alone is not nice! X

Great answers so far. For me, taking a shower and talking on phone with a loved one helps. If you are religious, it's helpful expressing your faith in your mind by using phrases such as 'the devil is a liar' or general motivating comments like 'I'm gonna make this as a hero'. You need to say these repeatedly to yourself.

Thank you, I’ve been talking to as many people on my phone as possible it’s a good distraction and when I feel my lowest like today I got up and no matter how bad I felt I said I’m fighting this when I get really bad thoughts I also tell myself it’s not real!

I am have always believed it’s mind over matter! You are strong enough to get through this! When you feel it coming on, try to find something to focus on whether you put the TV on if you’re at home or you go on your phone and find a game that distracts you. Take deep breath‘s while you’re trying to do this, I think distraction helps. If you have some thing that you know relaxes you, a favorite place..plan ahead and when you feel things coming on, watch a video on your phone about it maybe or go outside take deep breaths and engage your arms raising them up and down. The brain needs to be distracted. I wish you well and am thinking about you!

Thank you the only thing that seems to help and distract is my phone I feel like it keeps me connected to people when people are out of reach and I know this is something I will need to decrease but for now it helps, I’ve been watching yogi_bryan on tik tok he makes me laugh. Thank you so much I’ll try keep distracted as much as possible:)

Music deffo helped me get out of the house today it just needs to be a bright and happy song. Breath work is so handy and find it can help in those intense moments.

I have made myself a separate playlist on Spotify for music to play while I walk and exercise- it really helps me stay peppy!

Depending on where I am at I used things like guided breathing. jotting down my thoughts...anything that will take my mind off the chaos that is usually running wild. If I'm at home I usually try and focus on my artwork. also helps distract the chaos that is my mind

Get outside. Breathe deep over and over. Now go for a fast walk or run to burn off the anxiety energy. Put music on your phone that’s upbeat and sing to it like you don’t care who’s listening. Look around and smile at people. Try to notice things you haven’t noticed before. Laugh at anything funny or cute.

I’ve been exposing myself to the outside and I feel like it’s deffo helped although it doesn’t feel like it at the time a few hours after I feel abit more relaxed.
