how do i deal with panic attacks?

hello! im new here and i've been searching for something free to help me with anxiety and depression because i don't really have anyone to help me not even family or any adults. and i'm getting to the point of planning suicide recently and panic attacks everyday with nobody to help . Anyone know any tips?

I am so glad you reached out here. You are not alone, we understand the struggles with anxiety and depression and are here for you. Are you currently under a doctors care? Do you go to counseling? Depression and anxiety are stemmed from a chemical imbalance in our brain. Very often the right medication helps get us balanced. But we still need to work on our mindset and thoughts. First of all if you are feeling that dark please seek professional help. The darkness is not your fault and getting the right help will get you back to feeling better. Here is a link if you are feeling like you are going to hurt yourself. bit.ly/2Q1UcXi Also, saying encouraging things to yourself, like I am important, I am special, I matter really affect our whole mental state. When we say and think negative things that is what we believe, but if we say and think uplifting positive things then that is what we believe. In order to make that change, it helps to have a list written down of those uplifting things so you can refer to them when you are struggling and having those dark negative thoughts. The main thing I had to remind myself, this is not my fault, it a is a disease I struggle with, I will feel better, and the depressed state is temporary. Lastly, doing deep cleansing breaths really helps with anxiety. When you breathe in for the count of 5, breath in the positive thoughts and feelings you want, hold them for the count of 5 and then let out the breath for the count of 7 letting go of all those dark, negative, depressing feeling and thoughts. Do this 3 times and you will be amazed how more at peace you will feel. Reach out anytime. We are here for you. You will be in my prayers. Hugs and God Bless.

I’m sorry to hear you are feeling so low. I agree with other posters that you should approach your doctor/GP if you haven’t done already, they can prescribe meds but also refer for counselling / therapy.

In the meantime, try daily meditation for the panic attacks - if you can meditate whilst not in a panic attack, this would be best. I was really surprised that some breathing exercises would help as much as they do and help me in the build up to an anxiety attack.

I also find a good cry sometimes helps get rid of some of the emotion?

In addition, I’m trying a whole host of supplements / vitamins etc (chamomile tea, magnesium, probiotics, B vitamins, fish oil) - I feel like they are helping me.

Finally - use this group - they’ve been so supportive and I don’t feel as alone as I used to
