How do you deal with it?

Hey everyone,

I am extremely new to this space, but have been going to therapy for a while now and recently had an issue with the company my therapist is currently with and decided to cut ties today.

I am just wondering while I am looking for a therapist what kind of things you would suggest to help me deal with my emotions and regulate my anxiety in the meantime.

So far, what I do to manage things is practice meditation, do my best to write in a gratitude journal, try to get myself out of the house when I need it, exercise, and work on creative pursuits to soothe me such as model building and art.

If there is anything else that people are doing that helps them keep afloat and regulate I would love to hear it!

Pets are great. Sometimes seeing a kitty in the window turns my whole day around. Fostering kittens helped me stay productive and nurturing while I was dealing with grief. Or just hanging out at the dog park watching them play is relaxing.

Spirituality. I'm a Christian and I read a devotional called Jesus Calling every morning right after getting out of bed, before doing any of the day's activities. I also pray first thing in the morning. Creative pursuits are good. It's great that you engage in creative pursuits.

I find tapping meditations helpful. I just do the free ones at this site or on their app: thetappingsolution.com/
