Zyprexa hangover

I've been taking Zyprexa, 15 mgs at night for years. Idk exactly how long. Anyway, I still get this hangover effect from it the next day. I hate it, it makes me so damn tired and dragging ass. Like, I'm SO tired today and I got some sleep. 😴

But, at the same time, it's a medication that I know I need so, there's no way I'll stop taking it.

I do also take vitamin B complex, fish oil, glucosamine/chondroitn, and a women's multivitamin.

So, does anyone have any experience with Zyprexa like this? Any advice? I'm stuck on this. Thanks.

I searched on internet and found this - please click on side effects - Hope it helps

But best to talk to doctor as they can give you medicine to counter act the side effects

Hi love sorry no experience with it but your age maby HRT may help with some of your anxiety brain fog etc ask your doctor please things get worst when we reach mid late forties sending a hug 🤗💖🐼💙😹

I wish I could but, since I got blood clots in my lungs from birth control, they won't give me anything for hormones. It sucks, should be a great time for my menopause time. I'll tell my wife to hide lol thanks hun Hidden 🤗

Yeah I'm on it I love it at times it can make me happier and less anxiety but on the morning I'm a witch and so tired but I've been like this my whole life even before I was ever prescribed meds. But for me if I had someone to wake up to it would bring a smile to my face

I have noticed that abt half hour I take it and if I have to go get up and get something I'm so drowsy that like I m walking like I'm drunk . So I pee eat and drink before I take the med bc how it makes me feel after I take it. Does that happen to u? But my sleep is much better on this then invega or generic palperidone . When they changed me to Zyprexa I honestly loved it alot more relaxed now

Yes omg I've fallen a couple times! I definitely can't drive so, I'm always hoping nothing bad happens at night too. But truly, it's the best med for me. I get sleep too.

I would definitely reach out to your doctor about this. They may need to lower your dose or try you on something different. Good luck!

I don't have personal experience with this med but is it possible to to take it at a different time of day so maybe the hangover is at bedtime to help you sleep?

I guess I should have specified this but, I take it at bedtime. It just lingers on the next day so much. I mean, it's probably supposed to but, I hate feeling tired. 😕

It's the kind of tired that makes ya wanna just plop on the couch and sit, half-asleep. I suppose I always knew it did this but, it's a trade off I guess. Thanks for your suggestion!
