my aunt is the only healthy family member I have left and she and I have lived in the same city for the past 20 years, seeing each other weekly. She’s moving to Boston to be closer to grandkids, and I feel heartbroken. I’m scared of being so far away and having no family close. I have friends here and therapist, just really scared about struggling even more emotionally without her close. She is very funny and upbeat and has been an amazing support. Anyone have a similar loss?

Can you consider a move. i have grans in MA and it is wonderful i am in west. you will grieve but even on line find a support group...nice to meet you!
I am sorry! Yes, I have had similar experience and I remember crying a lot because it was a big loss for me.
Continuing to meet with your therapist is important. That person can provide you tips to cope and also about some guidance about changes to make or ways you can still keep a strong relationship with your aunt.
My family and I have weekly video calls with my brother and his little girl using Whatsapp. It's as if there's no long distance between us and my niece is very close to us.
I know it hurts deeply to see your aunt move so far away, but it doesn't mean her move will result in your life getting worse.
Right now, her move hurts a lot and part of that is natural. But you can pray to God for help and He can give you blessings.
It's hard right now to imagine anything good can come out of this major event in your life, but you can talk to God about it.
Sometimes we feel stronger after crying a lot when something hurts a lot and I hope that God gives you peace and hope.
It can be hard to be optimistic and to believe that things won't be very bad from now on.
I recommend to talk often with your therapist and friends and go for walks outside.
May God bless you! I'm always asking Him to be with me. Life is not easy.
