I don't have any friends

I have been living in the United States for about 4 years now. I don't have any friends and I feel as though no one likes me because I'm ugly. I am going to college in August as a transfer student, I don't think I'm going to make friends there. It's really hard because I cannot lean on my family for support.

The terms "Beauty" and "Ugly" are subjective and not universal. What is beautiful to one person is not necessarily attractive to another. And beauty is not only on the outside but also applies to what is on the inside. I know many gorgeous people on the outside, but I wouldn't go near them because they are hideous on the inside.

It sounds like you are starting college, so you should meet a broader group of more mature people who will respect you more for who you are, not what you look like on the outside. Many high school kids can be very mean and narrow-minded, and teenagers often judge each other by their looks, not their brains or personalities.

So, please continue being yourself and studying what you enjoy. As you associate with more adults, you will find more acceptance. Remember, in the end, people are the same worldwide, no matter where they come from. Good luck!
