When I Don't Have The Right Words To Say (a poem)

[I wrote this for a dear friend of mine whom I may have offended by being too emotional and a little too impulsive. I care about her and I miss her].....Sometimes I don't have the right words to say, sometimes I let my heart get in the way.....But, I know one thing and it's easy to say, when you came into my life I was blessed that day.....I'd give everything I could to take back my mistakes, If you would come back I'd do whatever it takes.....Just hear what I say and know that it's true- where it counts- in my heart- is where I love you!! [No, I'm not perfect and I hope she reads this and hears what I'm saying. I am sorry for causing her to leave me by maybe saying all the wrongs words. I....miss her very much.....]

It's a lovely poem JEG.....I guess if I could offer any advice on how to approach some people, especially those of us with trust issues who normally keep people at arms length for our own feeling of well being till someone earns our trust....is to be yourself, but maybe have a few more filters and pull back a bit until someone with trust issues is able to feel comfortable. I am the kind of person who is not able to take on too much too soon from anyone because of my past as a kid, who lost her innocence and ability to trust at a young age, and it's part of the reason my depression can be so overwhelming at times. I get overwhelmed by people who want to get too close too quickly and will pull away from them. Your a lovely person for wanting to be so caring and giving.....but it's also good for some relationships to give them time to get to know each other. It's all good.
