has anyone taken a combination of seroquel 200mg and trazadone together for sleep?
Nothing is helping me sleep thru the night and I suffer from bipolar which doc says is why I don’t sleep. I don’t want to be on these meds but he said it’s better I take risk of taking them then not. They may cause rare side effect of heart conduction isssues? What have your experiences been like?

Hi I was on Seroquel and Trazodone about 10 years ago when I couldn't sleep. It took a while for them to work but eventually I slept, I'm still on Trazodone and it still works in helping me sleep, I don't know what I'll do if I didn't take them. The only side affects I have is a dry mouth and some times I feel tired in the day. I hope it works for you good luck.
thank you for sharing your experiences with these meds. For me trazadone Alone doesn’t work. Did seroquel have any side effects for on u? Glad it works for u
Seroquel made me feel like a zombie . It was a real help because I was in a really bad place and didn't want to feel anything about life at the time. It stopped me from thinking, but as I got better I couldn't cope with the side effects so I slowly came of them and carried on with just the Trazodone which I'm still on today. I hope this helps
Hi, I'm on Seroquel and Trazodone, and I do take them at night. 200mg of Seroquel and 100 mg of Trazodone. The Trazodone is prescribed for sleep and the Seroquel is prescribed to help my anti-depressant do a better job but I don't think it's really helping with that. It's hard to tell with these things, and it can be so frustrating. I still can have difficulties falling asleep but typically sleep through the night. Mornings can be rough. I hope your sleep problems clear up. How many mg of Trazodone are you taking?
thanks for sharing! That’s exactly the mgs I was prescribed. I was taking seroquel 450 mg and it helped me sleep most of the time for 4-6 hours still not enough and then I felt like a zombie so he put me on lower dose but haven’t tried this combination. So sick of always withdrawing from meds and then going back on them. Glad to hear u sleep thru the night maybe I can also experience this one day.
Hello, I have been on both at the same time and seroquel knocks me out. I also have bipolar with lack of sleep. Although the next day it is really hard to function. To be honest I was not able to stay on my meds for long. Since my mania and insomnia is seasonal I stop after the first couple of weeks of being on my meds
thnak you for sharing! I feel same way with seroquel but it doesn’t knock me out. I don’t think I’ll be taking it. So you withdraw quickly like me I see .. they say that’s so dangerous. What happens to you when you stop taking meds?
NatureMade is actually highly rated, so I use that. 250 mg at night. It's not instant, but over time (a week or so) I found it really helps sleep quality, and research studies support that.
