Hello all again, I did my 21st TMS session today, one thing I found out is that it is hard to have a conversation with the technician while it's going on - makes the teeth rattle - LOL! So I didn't talk long.
It is still going quite well for me, my scores again today were 0 on both the PHQ-9 and the GAD-7 and I still have not had any side affects at all. Overall my energy level, clarity and ability to be more in the present are still good plus my ability to easily catch and redirect my thoughts is still good. I also don't get stuck in the memories from the past nor am I having any OCD issues and I have no social anxiety at all. i'm glad its working and hope to be able to maintain it.
I meet with the doctor a week from today to discuss the tapering down schedule and how many more sessions he thinks I need and will do another update then unless something comes up before then. Thanks again to everyone for all the encouragement and support, it's greatly appreciated.

They will give you a mouth guard to bite on if you want, normally i don't talk while doing it so it's not an issue for me. You might try bringing ear plus with you to the dentist next time you go and see if it helps. I do wear ear pugs while doing the TMS which helps with the noise.
I don't know how long the affect of it will last, i've read that for some people it's permanent and for others they need to repeat the treatment every few years or so. I'm just taking it a day at a time and trying not to have expectations about it and be open.
My remission lasts about 3-4 months then I require additional sessions. I'm just starting 1 time a month session to maintain my remission and see how that stabilizes my rollercoaster cycles.
What awesome results! I'm so happy for your success. It's so cool to feel alive again, right?
I wanna say that if you don't maintain it permanently, it's no reflection on your ability to remain symptom free. If that happens, your brain will let you know you're out of remission, and that's simply the point at which it requires additional support, just like an oil change or radiator flush. It's not a failure that you couldn't maintain it on your own any more than a diabetic is unable to live without insulin. I hope you stay symptom free for years. I just didn't get that lucky. At least I know it works. That's the main thing.
Is that brainsway deep TMS? I was curious about someone who had that version!! Keep us updated on your progress like designguy and depranxious. I'm doing monthly Theta Burst TMS maintenance sessions to maintain my remission. Hope to hear more about your experience soon ☺️
