Hello gang, I had my 26th treatment session today and this week I am tapering down to 3 sessions a week and will be doing this for another week or two then tapering down to 2 days a week. It is still going really well for me and I still have not had any side affects. One of the things I've started doing is chewing a big wad of gum and using it to kind of insulate my teeth while the treatment is happening just to see if it helps the temporary chattering sensations on my teeth and it seems to help. It hasn't been a big issue for me but I thought if it was for someone else doing the treatment that it might be a solution for them. The technician can provide a mouth guard also if it's a problem but I haven't need it. My questionnaire results for both the PHQ-9 and GAD-7 were again 0 so i'm still doing really well, it will be interesting to me to see how I do in a couple of weeks after tapering down.
Not sure if I mentioned before but my treatment is with the Brainsway Deep TMS machine, I understand there are a number of different brands and types of treatment available.
So far the treatment has been a minimal hassle and the staff have been really supportive and helpful and i'm grateful to be able to be doing it and having the results I'm having. The analogy I have is that it's been like my mind use to be like listening to a radio station but getting static and now being able to fine tune the dial and eliminate the static and just enjoy listening without static or interference and be able to pay attention fully. To be continued...

This is great news to hear. So glad you’re experiencing good results and the static is fading. What a blessing.
Actually, it is covered by a lot of insurance companies and even Medicare in the US although maybe yours doesn't. Unless you live in a pretty rural area you can check the area where you are living and there is likely a clinic that provides TMS there and they can see if you qualify. Different insurance providers have different criteria.
I've also found emdr therapy very helpful so if you try that I hope you do too
I'm happy for you and to see how positive you are feeling. I am going to my 6th treatment tomorrow, really early in the game to expect anything. I have noticed the teeth thing but so far it's not a big deal. I was a bit concerned with how uncomfortable the first few pluses of the day are to my right eye, but it quickly goes away and is just tapping on my eyebrow
Thanks and I hope you find it as helpful for you as I have. It does take a little getting use to it but I don't mind it at all anymore and enjoy going. The staff at the center have been great which helps. I thought I was going to have headaches or eye aches or even teeth aches but like you, anything goes away quickly.
