Once a Mother's child

Been a while, here goes..... many things happen during our lifetimes. Some good and some bad. Some better and some worse. Bottom line, life is not as long as you think. We all make mistakes and some are far worse than we would like to admit. But, we are all human.

We are all someone's child. There was once a time when a mother gave birth and looked down upon our little (still malformed) head and said "Wow, here's my child. Oh my God I love my child". So there was a time when we were ALL loved. There was a time when we were ALL a mother's child. Even if eventually some of us became useless pieces of shit

My point?... no matter our mistakes in life. No matter our poor choices. No matter our fails... we were once a mother's child and loved. Even if your mirror reflection tells you otherwise. Unless you've taken a life, you're mistakes can be reversed. Even if other people tell you otherwise. So take it from me, your past mistakes doesn't make you any less your mother's child

I agree, we are human and all make mistakes. Sometimes it's harder to forgive ourselves and move on.

I suppose my mother did have moments of enjoying her babies. Babies bring peace and innocence. I was no 7 of 8 so she must have been exhausted.

Anyway, yes we all have a mother

Sending you peace. Nice to see you

I was a colicky baby. So my mother soon got tired of me. I don’t think she ever recovered. She had a mental illness herself and found it hard to love.

Wow quite a crew.

My mother didn't do a great job. She's had issues. So yes I'm my mother's child but that didn't automatically mean a great childhood:(

I resonate with this. My parents were too strict. I had real medical issues as a young child. I am sure they got tired. And had unrealistic expevtations. My mother died in November 2022. Not sure how much longer my father will live. I have made peace with all of it. I am still working on these issues.
