Coping strategies everyone uses to cope

Hi all,

I thought it would be a good idea to put a post together on how they cope. I am the type of person that needs to be thinking or physically doing something. Weirdly, music helps with calming my nerves. When I pair it with delta 8 gummies, it quickly eliminates the anxiety I have going on. The music I have been listening to of late has been Dave Matthews Band Live Concerts. Not sure why that, but the jam band feeling with live shows they do help.

I also like to play video games to help calm me down. One game I have been playing a lot has been Minecraft. Sometimes doing mindless stuff while listening to music, or listening to the background music of the game, helps calm me.

If I am at work, I like to get up and walk around. Physical activity helps me with my anxiety. I have found the more I am active physically, the better I feel. I have been trying to push myself to play with my kids in the yard more after work in order to feel better.

Lastly, typing on here. I don't know if anything I type helps people or not, but the thought of helping someone helps me get through. Not sure if I have an issue with social interactions or not, but talking to people helps. Whether its on here or talking with colleagues at work, communication helps.

I hope everyone has a better day today, and each day forward is better than the last. Everyone on here has issues, its just a matter of how we walk through them.

I have to keep my mind occupied. No caffeine or THC, that makes it way worse. My mind is already in overdrive normally. I will have to do math problems in my head, or start tracing my name or random sentences with my finger (sometimes on my stomach or leg or arm, but most times just im the air, even though that sounds weird, it works for me) to take my full attention, so it's hard to let my mind wonder (mainly with health anxiety, cuz i will find tons of things that are wrong with me, or just thinking about any health problems i do have will lead me down a rabbit hole i can't get out of). I walk, too, if i feel anxious. I also pray. Talking to certain people can help me, also. Those are the only things that have worked for me, & I've tried almost everything everyone else has on these forums. I use some lavender & another "stress & mood" blend roll on scent that seems to help somewhat (may be placebo, but even so, if it works, i don't care, lol). Mindfulness has worked in the past, and the Claire weeks/DARE methods helped, but i haven't had extreme panic attacks in a while, thankfully, so i haven't had to use those recently. I hope u, & everyone, has success dealing with these mental health issues, also. Best of luck.
