Dosulepin and Anxiety

Anyone taking Dosulepin for Anxitey and find they have to increase dose after a cold or illness ? Wondering if its worth staying on a higher dose.

Hi chase ive been.on 75 mg for years I've been trying to lower the dose but very hard.ive just got over covid and was very anxious .iam afraid of change but off to see Dr this morning x

Sorry to hear covid triggered anxiety for you. I have accepted that I need to stay on medication to feel well. I usually take 75 mg then after a cold up it to 150 which works for me although it's a horrible waiting for the increased meds to work. I am actually considering staying on a higher dose in the hope that colds don't trigger my anxiety to be worse. I do hope you get on OK at the doctors. I am not medical but I wonder if you should not worry about reducing your dose . Obviously go by your doctors advice. Keep me posted on how you get on.

Hi Dr said its not good fir me to be on this medication any more as they don't give it to nrw patients only of your still on it.so I have to reduce it then see how iam before starting a new modern tablet. Hope you're well xx

I must admit It was suggested to me to come off Dosulepin but tbh I said I wanted to stay on it as it worked for me. I do hope reducing and going on a modern drug works for you. I would be very interested to hear how you get on. I wish you luck . Keep me posted 📫

i’m on it at 75mgs and do not wish to increase although i still battle with anxiety and depression along with insomnia. I wish i did not have sleeping issues. I’d probably deal with the rest somehow but not sleeping makes everything worse. I’m from India and I’m thinking of going to Ireland to pursue my studies. I was wondering if it’s available there? And how long have you been on dosulepin? How are you doing?

Hello iam still reducing this tablet .iam.not sure if you can get it over here any more please check .I'd like yo be free of antidepressants but been years for me .now iam trying very slowly. Sorry for late reply x
