Does anyone get really jittery or shaky when they have anxiety? During the beginning of Fall I felt like my whole body was constantly shaky and jittery sort of like out of control. It has subsided a lot but still sometimes get that feeling. It's such a horrible feeling.

When I feel this way I try to breath it out and pray and meditate. If anyone else experiences this what do you do to cope.

Yes, every time! Sometimes it sticks around for quite awhile. I'm going through a bad bout now and have felt like electric zaps and the jitters plus frequent light headedness. I took Venlafaxine 150 mg for a long time and was doing so much better. I asked my doctor to cut it in half. She agreed. That was pre-COVID. Worst mistake ever. I went to her earlier this week and we went back to 150. To answer the other part of your question, I do slow deep breaths and continue to remind myself over and over that it's only anxiety. I've had every test under the sun and nothing is wrong. Hope this helps!

Yes I completely understand how you feel sometimes it can make you feel like your completely out of control and can’t stop it especially. It would happen to me whenever I would constantly rethink what I would say and do or when I was in social situations. It can definitely be really scary but there’s a couple of things that helped me cope personally and I hope I can help you too:) I started to be a little bit more open to those around me about how I feel and seeked help from my doctor although it didn’t actually go away but it helped to some degree. I try my best to clear my mind in a way by distracting myself with something I love. Wether it’s being around my dog or going for a walk or even sometimes just focusing on my breathing. My head space was the other thing that helped a lot often times when I would be rethinking my choices throughout the day I would tell myself that there isn’t anything I can change now and that’s okay. We all are truly just trying our best<3 and I hope this helps you a little!!!

I get really antsy, and it's hard for me to be still.

I think you've got the right idea with bringing your focus to your breathing. I'd go so far as to pace a little bit and stretch. Do a little exercising to help get that energy out. Avoid caffeine.

The thing that I tell myself is that, literally, existing in this high state of anxiety is not sustainable. My body will naturally come down from it eventually.
