Hi,I have been on Zoloft for about 6 weeks and a week ago I start noticing intermittent shooting pain in finger joints or close to them in my hands, and ocassionally elsewhere (feet, elbow). Kind of like a bee sting, taking just a few seconds but occurring frequently. I have stopped the medication 6 days ago and the symptoms are still there, which scares me to death.please is there anyone with a similar experience?

Finger and joint pains on Setraline?
I was on zolofot for a number of years and the only side affect I had was some mild sexual dysfunction. I did experience brain zapping when I ran out of the pills and skipped a few days before being able to get it refilled so you might be cautious about abruptly quitting. It's usually best to slowly taper off a medication. What you are describing doesn't sound like a typical side affect either. Anxiety can typically make us blow things out of proportion and make us hyper-aware of sensations so it could be all it is. If it continues for a while you might get checked out by your doctor. We also all react differently to meds but this is more experience.
well it is still listed in common side effects (joint pain and inflammation), so i do not know.
I for one, never had any other side effects besides this slight joint paint.
It's been a number of years since I was on it so i'm wrong and they added it to the list so like I said, if it continues you might get it checked out by a doctor. I just assumed you had anxiety because it is typically prescribed for it but maybe I was wrong about that too.
