Stress and anxiety has been kicking my butt lately. And today I had barely any energy and I can’t think of anything fun that I actually want to do.
My plan is to rest tonight and then tomorrow do things that I’d love if I felt up to it and just do it anyway so I don’t sink into a deeper depression.
I guess it’s about time for SAD glow lamp time of year.
Ugh

tomorrow is always a new day people say but sometimes it does not feel like it . I think it’s a good ide that you are trying to do something you like because it can help . Also what is a sad glow lamp ?
Do you sit right in front of your light? I feel like the light only works if you sit in close range in front of it for an extended period of time… I could be wrong… I used to use it as I drew in front of a window. Now I have it by my bed do I can use it before I sleep.

Believe it or not, I just use the light bulb, and I use it all year round. (it's in a lamp that sits on a dresser across my room)
I used to use Verilux light bulbs, but they seemed to shifted their focus more to the lamp screens.
What I use now is the closest that I can find to the old Verilux light bulbs, but sadly aren't as good. They do last as long (as the old Verilux bulbs) which is much longer than the average light bulb.
But with that said, if I walk into a room after being in my room, I can easily tell the difference (and it affects my mood).
What I'm using now isn't as good as the Verilux bulbs, but it's still waaaaay better than the average light bulb for my SAD moods.
Hey, I am across your post and can't help but want to write back. It is so easy to feel unmotivated to do the things we know we should. It takes energy that at times we don't feel as though we have to use. Something as simple as writing a list of what you are grateful can be a great start in feeling like you are taking care of yourself.
I encourage you, the next time you feel like you don't have the energy to do anything, is to tae five minutes and write what you are grateful for. It may be difficult at first, but it becomes easier to do.
I’m sorry your struggling with depression it sucks. But the upside is you have a plan in place to have a better day 😀 which I truly hoped it works out for you.. I myself am trying so hard to fight the fight and not let the depression get me down especially this time of the year. I truly hope your day does get better!!!
With me my money is going like it’s water. I try to watch my spending, but things come up. I’m probably paying too much for my phone bill but I’m worried if I switch to cheaper that I’ll have to deal with dropped calls and poor service. Price inflation is everywhere now, we’re all paying more.
